How to Change/Create an Unclickable Parent Page in Dropdown Menu (WordPress)

For first-timer on Wordpress like me, here is a very easy and step by step fix to make parent page in a dropdown menu unclikable or not a link.

Problem: Parent menu should not be clickable or should not look like a link to a page (no mousehand when you mouseover).

Solution:
1. Go to "Menus" under "Appearance". Choose the menu to modify.

In this example, the menu is "secondary_nav" with parent page "Show Room" and subpages.

2. On the "Custom Links", input:
URL: #
Label: Show Room (name of the parent page)

then click "Add to Menu" button.

3. Move the newly created menu at the top followed by the subpages (check the hierarchy) and you can delete the old "Show Room" page by clicking the dropdown arrow and then delete.

(In this case, I've already deleted the old "Show Room")

4. Finally, hit "Save Menu" and you are done.

Thanks so much for this! To the point and easy to follow :)

Excellent... No single steps omitted like many do (rendering their explanations unworkable). I managed to do it and it is working. Now need to find how to get rid of the hand when you hover above the unclickable link!

Note: On new WordPress version (3.8 I think and on Attitude theme), it is not Custom links module but Links module that appears on Appearance page. And inside URL and LINK TEXT. The latter is the Label.
